🔹 For Mutual Life Africa Policyholders:

  • Must have an active Mutual Life Africa life or funeral policy.
  • Deposit requirements range from 0% to 10% of the property value.
  • Valid passport or national ID and proof of address.
  • Proof of income or employment (minimum of 3 months’ payslips or bank statements).
  • Proof of affordability through income vs. expenses assessment.
  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Joint applications are allowed for couples or co-owners.

 

🔹 For Non-Policyholders (Foreign Nationals, Expats & Locals):

  • Valid passport (foreign nationals/expats) or national ID (locals).
  • Proof of residence in Africa or work/stay permit (for expatriates).
  • Deposit requirement of up to 50% depending on risk and credit assessment.
  • 6 months’ bank statements or payslips showing income stability.
  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Clean or recoverable credit profile (impaired credit may attract stricter terms).
  • May be required to take out mandatory credit life insurance and property insurance.
