This document applies to Mutual Life Africa and all its directly and indirectly managed subsidiaries, including but not limited to: Mutual Life Global, Taesan Financial Group, Taesan Insurance, and any other affiliated or group-owned entities (collectively referred to as “Mutual Life Africa Group”, “the Group”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using our products and services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosures, and Regulatory & Compliance Statements.

1. General Terms & Conditions

1.1 Scope of Services

The Mutual Life Africa Group provides, directly and through subsidiaries, the following services:

• Insurance & Risk Products – including life cover, funeral cover, personal insurance, business insurance, and other specialty policies.
• Banking & Payments – including multicurrency accounts, payment processing, and financial transfers.
• Credit & Lending – including personal credit, business loans, venture financing, and related credit facilities.
• Wealth Management & Investments – including managed portfolios, retirement products, and investment-linked insurance.
• Capital Markets Services – including trading platforms, institutional investment services, and corporate advisory.

We reserve the right to refuse service in jurisdictions where we are not licensed or where regulatory restrictions apply (see Section 6 — Restricted Countries).

1.2 Terms of Purchase & Payment Obligations

• Insurance Premiums – You agree to pay premiums as prescribed in your policy schedule.
• Banking & Credit Products – All loan repayments, account fees, and transaction charges must be paid as agreed.
• Trading & Investment Accounts – You agree to fund your account according to platform requirements.

Non-payment or late payment may result in service suspension, policy lapse, or account closure.

We are not liable for any financial hardship, insolvency, or loss caused by purchasing our products or services.

1.3 No Guarantee of Future Performance

Our services, including investments, insurance, and capital markets activities, are subject to market risks, economic changes, and external factors. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

1.4 Amendments

We may update these Terms, Privacy Policies, and Risk Disclosures at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance.

2. Privacy Policy & Data Protection

2.1 Data Collection

We collect personal and business data necessary to provide services, including:

• Identity documents (passport, ID card, company registration documents)
• Financial and transactional information
• Policy and claims history
• Trading and investment activity

2.2 Data Sharing

Your data may be shared:

• Within the Mutual Life Africa Group (including subsidiaries) for service delivery
• With regulatory bodies as required by law

3. Risk Disclosures

3.1 Insurance Risks

• Premium rates may change based on risk assessment or regulatory adjustments.
• Claims are paid only if policies are active, premiums are up to date, and conditions met.
• Certain exclusions apply (e.g., fraud, pre-existing conditions, high-risk activities).

3.2 Trading & Investing Risks

• Trading involves market risk, liquidity risk, and currency fluctuations.
• You may lose part or all of your invested capital.
• Derivatives, leveraged products, and cryptocurrency carry high volatility risks.
• Mutual Life Africa Group does not guarantee profits or returns.

3.3 Banking & Credit Risks

• Interest rates, exchange rates, and fees are subject to change.
• Late repayments may incur penalties and affect your credit profile.

3.4 Restricted Countries Risk

We do not provide services in restricted countries (see Section 6). Attempting to access services from these regions may result in account or policy termination.

4. Regulatory & Compliance

• Licensing – We operate under financial services licenses in applicable jurisdictions.
• AML/KYC Compliance – We follow Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
• Sanctions Compliance – We comply with UN, EU, UK, U.S. OFAC, and other sanction lists.
• FATCA & CRS Reporting – We adhere to global tax compliance standards.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party service providers, market movements, force majeure events, or client negligence.

6. Restricted Countries

Services are not available to persons or entities in:
Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Libya, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine (conflict zones), CAR, DRC, Somalia, Myanmar, North Korea, Iran, Haiti, Venezuela, Belarus, Lebanon, Mali, Israel (volatile regions), Palestine/West Bank & Gaza.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the relevant Group company providing the service is registered.
